Williamsport on the line Saturday.....

Taiwan won it's final preliminary game on Thursday vs. Thailand 10-0. The kids will get a day off Friday before playing Japan on Saturday. Japan will be playing on successive days, as their game with Korea was rescheduled for Friday because of rain in Hong Kong.

Japan:
Hanshin lost 5-1. Lin got another pinch hit AB, and flied out in his only appearance. Box

Minors:
Jacksonville won 2-0. Hu DNP.

Wisconsin won 3-2. Lo was 0-4. Box

Lin won his first game of the season for the GCL Red Sox. He pitched in relief, throwing 2.2 scoreless innings, giving up 2 hits, with 1 walk and 0 K's. Chiang and Huang DNP. Box

Miscellaneous:
Well as you know tonight was Chien-Ming Wang night in Staten Island. For those of you who went to the game tonight, I hope you were able to pick up a Wang bobblehead. His doll is already being hawked on Ebay for ~$150!!!

For those of you that live in Southern California, the National Sports Collectors Convention is going on in Anaheim this weekend until Sunday. From what I saw, there wasn't much of a selection regarding Taiwanese baseball collectibles out there. However, I did see Gary Engel set up a booth at the show - he had some Sadaharu Oh and Shosei Go stuff on display.
