Tuesday News...

MLB:
The Dodgers have granted permission for CL Hu and CH Tsao to participate in the Beijing Olympic Qualifiers.

CPBL:
With the worst record in the CPBL (42-57), the Sinon Bulls will have the top pick in the upcoming draft. The most likely #1 pick? See below:
21 year old Yi-Chuan Lin

The young slugger (DOB: 11/11/1985) is on the NT that will represent Taiwan at the 2007 World Cup. The third baseman stands 6 feet tall and weighs 180 pounds (Throws R/Bats L). Lin had a torrid summer, hitting well at the Italian Baseball Week Tourney (.313 BA - 1 HR) & the WPT (hitting .306 and cracking 2 HR's to help lead Taiwan to the silver medal). Lin, playing for the amateur Taiwan Electric Power squad- was also the 2007 Spring League Tournament (in Taiwan) MVP - nearly winning the triple crown with the 2nd highest BA: .436, the most HR's: 6, and the most RBI's: 26 in 94 AB's. Lin represented Taiwan at the 2006 Intercontinental Cup - where Taiwan defeated Japan for third place. Lin made a big splash in his international debut at the 2005 Asian Baseball Championships (Taiwan finished 3rd), where he hit the most HR's in the tourney.
A lot of people expect big things out of the young man in the future.
