Ni Not Taking Chances....


Chinatrust Whales ace and NT regular Fu-Te Ni, was extended an invitation by the Seattle Mariners to come to spring training. Ni declined, stating that he wanted a guaranteed major league contract. Ni, widely regarded as perhaps the most talented home-grown lefty in the CPBL (led the league in K's this year) is no spring chicken; he turns 26 later this month.

The La New Bears rallied to beat the Yomiuri Giants nigun team 6-5 on Thursday, thanks to OF Cheng-Yu Chung's 2 HR's in the game.
